Former Neepawa Natives captain Robbie Moar has committed to play for the Minot State University Beavers hockey program next season.

The Portage product had seven goals and 25 points in 58 games with the Natives last season.

“Robbie is an exciting player to watch,” said Beavers head coach Wade Regier in a release. “He is gritty, he works hard and was the leader of his junior team back home. He is an extremely coachable kid who will bring a new dynamic to the program. Any time you can bring a player in with his track record in junior hockey you have to be excited. He had other opportunities to play next year and glad he chose us.”

The forward was named captain of the Natives last January after the club traded Ryley Pace to the Superior International Junior Hockey League's English River Miners.
