Dodgers score six in third inning in win over Farmers

The Oak River Dodgers picked up their first win of the season in the Manitoba Senior Baseball League on Tuesday night, defeating the Farmers 9-3 in Neepawa. 

Nat Howard had a big game at the plate, picking up a pair of hits, two RBI and two runs scored for the Dodgers, who ended up scoring six runs in the third inning en route to the victory. 

Ryan Shaw allowed seven hits in 7 2/3 innings of work to get the win on the mound for the Dodgers, who now sit with a 1-3 record this season.  

Meanwhile, Daylon Creasy ended up taking the loss on the bump for the Farmers, allowing seven runs in seven innings of work, while Bryce Stephenson had a couple of hits and an RBI for Neepawa (1-2). 

In other league action on Tuesday, it was the Marlins taking down the Cloverleafs 5-2 in an all-Brandon matchup at Andrews Field. 

The Marlins improved to 2-0, while the Cloverleafs dropped to 2-1.
