Lakers off to Tiger Hills championship final

The Gladstone Lakers are headed to the Tiger Hills Hockey League championship final. 

The Lakers edged the Carberry Plainsmen 4-3 in Game 4 of the Eastern Division final on Thursday night in Gladstone, winning the best-of-five series 3-1.

Dan Leslie scored the game winner with 2:20 left in the third period for the Lakers, who will now take on the Deloraine Royals in the championship series. 

The Royals advanced to the final after defeating the Souris Elks in the Western Division final.

Dates and times of the championship final have yet to be determined.
