Chudley advances to playoffs in Super League

Neepawa's Jerry Chudley will be advancing to the Westman Super League of Curling playoffs.

Chudley lost his final round-robin game to Brandon's Duane Lang by a score of 8-5 on Wednesday night. However, Chudley finished the season with a 7-4 record (third place in standings) which is good enough to advance to postseason play.

Chudley joins Terry McNamee in the playoffs as the defending champion defeated Jim Renwick's rink 5-2 on Wednesday to finish with a league best 10-1 record.

Kelly Marnoch meanwhile, finished second in the standings with a 9-2 mark after edging Perry Fisher's rink 6-5.

Both McNamee and Marnoch receive byes into the semifinals, while Chudley, along with Cale Dunbar, Brian Fowler and Renwick all advance to the quarter-finals, which begin in the new year.
