Wheat Kings unveil plans for upcoming spring prospects camp

The Brandon Wheat Kings have unveiled plans for this weekend's spring prospects camp, to be held Friday, Saturday and Sunday at Westman Communications Group Place.

Over 30 players are expected to attend the camp, including bantam draft picks and non-roster prospects.

Among those that will be attending their first ever Wheat Kings' camp will be centre Nolan Patrick (Winnipeg), defenceman Kyle Clague (Lloydminster) and centre Tanner Kaspick (Brandon), who were the Wheat Kings' top three selections in this year's WHL Bantam Draft.

Patrick, Clague and Kaspick were chosen fourth, sixth and 25th overall. Of the 12 players chosen by the Wheat Kings in this year's draft, eight are Manitobans.

All weekend sessions will be open to the public and the camp, which will be under the direction of Wheat Kings' head coach Dwayne Gylywoychuk, will conclude on Sunday morning with a an intrasquad game.

The practices begin at 4 and 5:15 p.m. on Friday and continue on Saturday at 8, 9 and 11 a.m. (goaltender session).

The intrasquad game begins at 10 a.m. on Sunday morning.
