Quebec and Ontario farmers expect to seed the largest area of corn for grain since 2007.

It has had an enormous impact worldwide in many species, particularly in dairy cattle. Pioneering efforts to establish AI began when Italian naturalist Lazzaro Spallanzani artificially inseminated a dog in 1784 and when Russian scientist Ivanoff conducted AI in cattle, horses and sheep in early 1900.
