Kaye, McDonald net hat tricks in Tigers win over Wildcats

Bryson Kaye and Kyle McDonald each netted hat tricks, helping the Neepawa Tigers defeat the Glenboro/Carberry/Baldur Wildcats 10-2 in Westman High School Hockey League action on Sunday.

The Tigers held a 2-0 lead after 20 minutes and followed that up with an explosive second period, scoring five goals en route to the victory.

Matthew Sneesby, Trent Nelson, Riley Kolesar and Blair Krutkewich scored the other goals for Neepawa.

The game, which took place at the Yellowhead Centre in Neepawa, was the first regular season contest for the Tigers, who won the league and provincial AA title last season.

There were two other league games that took place on the weekend and both contests were on Sunday as well.

Killarney/Wawanesa defeated Hamiota 9-1 and Boissevain edged Minnedosa 3-2.
