Rapid City and District Chamber of Commerce would like to extend an invitation to participate in their candidate night scheduled for 7 p.m. at Rapid City Legion Hall on Tuesday, April 5. The chamber is presenting candidate night as a venue for residents in Riding Mountain Constituency to learn about how the different candidates and their party platforms best represent what they believe in for the next provincial government of Manitoba. Rapid City and District Chamber of Commerce has a history of hosting successful candidate nights to past elections and the community’s location provides an ideal central location for communication to the south-central part of the constituency.

Candidate night will consist of an opportunity for candidates to present their party’s platform as it applies to the region, and answer individual pre-screened and regulated questions derived from the audience. In addition, efforts are being made to have our youth involved too. Schools will be asked to prepare questions, written or video, on what is important to them in this upcoming election.

The chamber has been able to confirm attendance from two candidates for that evening, Liberal Jordan Fleury and PC Greg Nesbitt. NDP Bela Gyarmati has as scheduling conflict but is working to revise that or send an alternative to represent him.

Should you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to contact one of us through Facebook (Rapid City and District Chamber of Commerce). We look forward to seeing you at our candidate night!
