Alberta Serious Incident Response Team to investigate officer-involved shooting at Norway House

The Manitoba government has requested the assistance of the Alberta Serious Incident Response Team (ASIRT) to investigate an officer-involved shooting that took place in Norway House on Sunday.  

The ASIRT has accepted and are currently travelling to the community to begin their investigation.

According to reports, there will be five investigators with a 27-member team that will do an independent investigation, which will then be forwarded to Manitoba Justice when it’s complete.

There is no timeline as to when the investigation will be complete.
