Woman dies in fatal farm accident north of Russell

A 57-year-old woman from the rural municipality of Shellmouth has died after a fatal farm accident north of Russell. 

Prairie Mountain RCMP responded to a report of an incident on July 17 which involved farm machinery. The accident happened shortly before 4 p.m. 

Investigation reveals the woman was operating an open-cab tractor while towing a brush cutter on her farm. Reports indicate the woman fell from the tractor and was then subsequently struck by the brush cutter. 

The woman was pronounced dead at the scene. 

No foul play is suspected.
