RCMP seize drugs, guns in Camperville

On Wednesday, July 16 at approximately 5:00 a.m., Winnipegosis RCMP executed a controlled drugs and substances act warrant at a residence in Camperville. 

Police seized a significant amount of marijuana, as well as a large sum of cash and six firearms. An adult male and an adult female were arrested at the residence; charges are pending. 

The owners of the home were not at the residence at the time, but Peter Paul Chartrand, 58, was arrested a few hours later. Sharon Lynn Chartrand, 53, was arrested on Thursday.

Peter Chartrand is facing multiple charges and has been released from custody. He will make his first court appearance on Aug. 26 in Dauphin.

Sharon Chartrand is also facing multiple charges and will appear in court in Dauphin the same day.

The investigation continues.
