On Saturday, June 21, Canadians from all walks of life are invited to participate in the many National Aboriginal Day events that will be taking place from coast to coast, as people celebrate the unique heritage, diverse cultures and achievements of First Nations, Inuit and Métis peoples in Canada. To celebrate this day, Riding Mountain National Park will host Manitoba’s own Eagle & Hawk, Ray St. Germain, and Desiree Dorion.

Award winning musicians Eagle & Hawk have wowed international audiences and will be hitting the stage at 1:00 p.m. in Wasagaming. Canadian Country Music Association Hall of Famer Ray St. Germain will perform and be the Master of Ceremonies for the day, followed by 2013 Juno nominee Desiree Dorion.

“We are proud to showcase local and international talent celebrating Aboriginal culture. There is a full day of activities planned for people of all ages, so come on out, bring your lawn chair and enjoy the day in a great setting,” said Michaela Kent, superintendent of RMNP.

In addition to entertainment, there will be a powwow, cultural demonstrations and workshops starting at 10:00 a.m.
