RCMP investigate homicide in MacGregor

On Sunday, May 25, RCMP responded to the death of Niels Nielsen, 96, in MacGregor. An autopsy has been performed, and his death is being investigated as a homicide.

Police have not made arrests in this matter and are asking for the public’s assistance.

Nielsen was frequently outside in his yard at 13 Talbot Street East in MacGregor. Anyone who may have spoken to or seen Mr. Nielsen in the days leading up to his death or who may have any information regarding his death are asked to contact the Portage RCMP at 204-857-4445.
