With over 120 registrants from Western Canada and Ontario and more than 70 sponsors, the 35thAnnual Livestock Markets Association of Canada (LMAC) Convention exceeded expectations of both the organizing committee and participants.

“The support from both our members and sponsors has been tremendous,” said Bob Blacklock, President of Livestock Marketers of Saskatchewan (LMS), host of this year’s event. “We’re proud that LMS was able to showcase both Saskatchewan and LMS’ strong industry presence to those in attendance.”

The 17th annual Canadian Livestock Auctioneer Championship and a Masters Auctioneer Championship were held in conjunction with the convention. Heartland Livestock Services – Moose Jaw, the oldest continually operating auction market in Saskatchewan, served as host for Friday’s auctioneer competitions.
