Having approved MMM Engineering’s plan for the former CN land and submitted it to the Neepawa Area Planning District, Neepawa council took the next step on Tuesday night.

On a resolution introduced by councillor Robyn Copeland, the council agreed to list the former CN land for sale with the town’s realtor Remax Prairie Mountain.

Some conditions apply. The land has to be offered for sale for 30 days before any offers will be accepted and any sale will be subject to a development agreement between the Town of Neepawa and a prospective developer. Council recently approved the sale of about an acre of land to Freezerco for a parking lot and have tentatively reserved a piece of land in the overall plan for a new fire hall.
