Hamiota RCMP respond to semi-truck fire

Shortly before 11:00 a.m. on Monday, Hamiota RCMP and local fire services responded to a report of a grain truck on fire on Highway 16, approximately one kilometre east of Strathclair.

The truck was loaded with grain and was being delivered to one of the local grain elevators.

Initial investigation suggests that there was a mechanical problem which caused the fire. The cab of the truck was engulfed in flames. There were no injuries.

The grain truck fire is out and clean-up has taken place.
