Last week, construction began on a new 14,000 square-foot state-of-the-art dealership building for Neepawa’s Ag West Equipment.

The building will replace the current building and offer a more comfortable environment for customers and better working space for staff.

Joella Turner, Ag West Equipment general manager, explains that a new building has been part of their plan for the dealership since they bought the Neepawa location in 2005. They are planning to be working out of the new building next summer.

The new building will allow them to offer more services to their customers as the new, modern service shop will be much bigger and can allow for work on larger equipment such as combines.

It will also include a customer lounge as well as indoor showroom space.

Turner said that they plan to expand their staff at both the parts counter as well as adding new technicians to the service department.

He says there shouldn't be any business interruptions during the transition.

“We’ll still be able to offer (customers) all the same great products -- in a more comfortable environment," concluded Turner.
