RCMP investigate fatal car accident

A fatal accident transpired approximately two miles north of the International Peace Garden on Highway 10 on Wednesday night.

An SUV travelling southbound attempted to pass a semi and wound up colliding head-on with a semi travelling northbound.

The driver of the SUV, a 51-year-old woman from the Winnipeg area, was killed. The semi driver meanwhile, a 61-year-old from Deloraine, was treated for minor injuries.

Alcohol is not considered a factor in the accident.
