Rapid City 4-H Rodeo Club, commonly called Chutes ’n’ Boots, has enjoyed its regular meetings, plus several events and activities, since reorganizing in the fall. Our executive for this year is as follows: president Leeza Miller, vice-president Katie Wright, secretary Haillee Addison, treasurer Lauren McKee, historian Kirsty Miller, reporters Madi Robbins and Amy McAuley.

We got started with a couple of ride/clinic days while the weather was still nice. In December we participated in Rivers’ Christmas parade and had fun bowling for our Christmas party. In the new year, we were able to cheer on our local Brandon Wheat Kings as a club.

Feb. 28 was our communications night. Sue Armstrong and Alyssa Krahn judged our speeches and visual presentation. Through the presentations, we learned more about what is important and of interest to each of us.  Our members then had the opportunity to continue on to present at zones in Minnedosa. Congratulations to Katie Wright, Madi Robins, Jessica Wright and Lauren McKee who are moving on to present in Hamiota!

We look forward to some upcoming events like our winter project day and the South Parkland 4-H Manitoba museum sleepover.
