Rapid City 4-H Beef Club ended the year at weigh day on Dec. 5 at Alan Horners' house. We had beautiful weather and everybody got to weigh their project animals. This was followed by a big potluck and a monthly meeting. It was decided that we would use the old record books, along with worksheets that will be handed to members throughout the year.

Happy New Year! Our first meeting of 2016 was on Jan. 12. The club graciously accepted tickets from Enns Bros. to the Feb. 12 Wheat Kings game; it should be fun! The club will hold its annual speech night on Feb. 9 at Rapid City Library. South Parkland's Winter Weekend Adventure registration forms were handed out to all members; this is a fun weekend at Camp Wannakumbac Feb. 26-28. Our next weigh day will be March 19.
