Grant furnishes hall in Kenton

Woodworth Senior Services (WSS) held an open house at Kenton Memorial Hall on Nov. 18. Employment and Social Development provided a grant of $23,286 through New Horizons (a seniors program) for new tables and chairs in our hall, which we are very proud of, and for the installation of Wi-Fi Internet service. Additional purchases were five laptops, a laptop charging station, a laser colour printer and a smart TV.

Despite having a depleted lineup due to recent injuries, the Neepawa Natives proved to be the better team on Friday night as they defeated the Winkler Flyers 5-3 in MJHL action.

The Manitoba Agricultural Museum digitally copied a number of photographs from the collection of Mr. W. Wilson of Gladstone. In these photographs was this postcard of the 1916 Allan Cup Champions, the 61st Overseas Battalion.
