A trifecta of basketball titles have been claimed by the NACI Tigers. On Tuesday, Feb. 21, the junior varsity boys squad capped off a solid season with an equally impressive 59-45 win over the William Morton Warriors. The next day, the varsity boys and girls would also pick up zone championship banners, with 68-59 and 54-45 victories respectively.
Natives remain on edge of playoffs

As the MJHL regular season winds down to its final weekend, the Neepawa Natives remain on the edge of the playoffs. As of Monday, Feb. 27, the club was just a single point out of the eighth and final playoff spot. Neepawa helped their own cause with an important 6-5 shootout victory over the Portage Terriers on Friday, Feb. 24 at the Yellowhead Centre.

80 years ago. Friday, March 5, 1937: Curling activities are entering around the Alec Dunlop Memorial trophy and to date, the Pollock and McGregor rinks are in the lead, with five wins each. Although Martin has only three games to his credit, he has a chance to come up to the top, as he has eight games left to play.
Neepawa hog plant down for three days

In what was described as the “most serious delay ever”, HyLife CEO Guy Baudry described the three day shut down at the hog processing plant. “The unit that is used to stun the hogs went down. It wasn’t the mechanical part, it was the brains of the unit,” said Baudry.
