Neepawa Tigers defeat Moosomin

The Neepawa Tigers have improved to 3-2 in the Rural Manitoba Football League, after a 38-14 victory over Moosomin on Thursday, Sept. 25.

The Tigers ground game helped to secure the victory, as the team ran for a combined 248 yards and three touchdowns. Brenden Cowan lead the way, rushing for 156 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Neepawa’s defense was also able to hold Moosomin in check, with a fumble recovery from Brett Jonasson and pair of interceptions by Jason Caines, including a 70 yard return for a touchdown.

With the win, the Tigers are currently tied for second place in the RMFL North Division with the Dauphin Clippers. The next game for Neepawa is scheduled for Friday, Oct. 3 in Swan River when they face the undefeated Swan Valley Tigers.
